We believe good residential development starts with understanding place. The lots. The streets. The architecture. The building requirements. The materials. The market. And most importantly, the people who call a neighborhood home.
Evergreen uses those characteristics to create homes that belong — combining thoughtful architecture, contemporary building science and durable materials with a repeatable approach to residential development.
We aren’t interested in putting the same house everywhere. We’re interested in designing the right homes for everywhere we build.
Designed around real lots
Good architecture starts with understanding its site.
Rather than designing homes in isolation, Evergreen develops residential concepts around actual lot dimensions, zoning requirements, setbacks and the physical character of the neighborhoods where they will be built.
Our first collection was developed around Detroit’s traditional residential lots using a modular design approach that allows homes to efficiently fit narrower urban sites while retaining flexibility in layout and appearance.
As Evergreen enters new communities, this same philosophy will guide each new collection.

A neighborhood should never feel cookie-cutter.
Homes are an expression of personal taste, and architectural diversity contributes to more interesting and vibrant communities.
Evergreen designs begin with a thoughtful base model but allow opportunities for variation in configuration, materials, finishes and architectural expression.

Reducing the long-term cost of homeownership is an important part of the Evergreen philosophy.
We prioritize durable materials, proven building products and contemporary building science intended to increase longevity and reduce unnecessary maintenance.
From exterior cladding and roofing to plumbing fixtures, windows, doors and interior finishes, our specifications favor materials and manufacturers with a proven track record.

Detroit
Where Evergreen began. The pilot line of homes utilizes the common 30×100 lot to ensure maximum compatibility with permitting and site maximization without covering the entire lot.
